So what do you think Al Gonzalez did with the 12-hour delay John Ashcroft provided prior to requiring him to notify WH staff they had to preserve all documents related to the PlameOut investigation? Al says he mentioned it to WH Chief of Staff Andrew Card that night and then dealt with the situation in the morning. Twelve hours - whats all tha fuss `bout?
UPDATE (8:56 PM): According to Keith Olbermann, MSNBC made references to a Justice Dept. investigation into the affair 26 September 2003 - the WH may have had 84 hours to start cleaning house before they were officially told they had to keep all documents relating to the leak of Valerie Plame's name.
