DeLay Associate tries Rove "I didn't say her name" defense

Austin judge Bob Perkins refused to dismiss charges against John Colyandro, who worked for Tom DeLay's fundraising committee "Texans for a Republican Majority". Attorneys for Colyandro has sought to have the charges of accepting illegal political contributions because the law under which he was charged was "too vague" to be constitutional; more interestingly, they also requested charges of money laundering be dropped because the law refers only to cash transactions and checks were used in Colyandro's scheme.
"In my opinion, I think funds would include checks," Perkins said from the bench.
Maybe they should consider using Pokémon cards in the future.
