Dubya 'splains why we went to war

I don't know which of the President's handlers took an ill-timed pottybreak, but I'm betting someone got a pinkslip for letting W proclaim that Iraq provoked the US Invasion because of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the US during his weekly radio address last Saturday.

"We went to war because we were attacked, and we are at war today because there are still people out there who want to harm our country and hurt our citizens," Bush said Saturday in his weekly radio address.

Maybe that explains why, despite the fact that all credible intel on the issue points to Osama bin Ladin and Al Qaeda, the CIA has decided not to pursue bin Laden despite having an "excellent idea" where he is hiding.

If Iraq had legitimately been implicated in masterminding the attacks on the US, George and Tony wouldn't have needed to go through all that effort to manufacture reasons to justify the declaration of war (let alone a war they started prior to obtaining the necessary approval to legally start this war).
