Missing Monday: Tammy Kendall

In reaction to the blogswarm about Latoyia Figeuroa's disappearance, Tazzy & Piggy have declared the first Monday of every month to be Missing Monday.

Wouldn’t it be a fantastic idea, I thought, if all bloggers, just one day a month (say, the first Monday of each month) posted a pic and a few details of someone missing - someone from their own local area - with a few background details, a pic, info on who to contact etc. It only takes a minute or two of our time. But it could, just could, save someones life or, at the very least, bring some respite to a desperate family.

Yes, there are very many dedicated websites carrying details of missing persons around the world, but let’s be honest here: when did YOU last look at one of them? I’m honest enough to admit that I’ve NEVER looked at one before. Because it never interested me. And I think thats part of the problem.

Tammy Kendall was last seen on or about April 8, 2005. She was visiting friends in Upper Montclair, NJ. Tammy is a resident of Red Bank, NJ and has had no contact with a boyfriend nor any family members. Her possible destinations include Bayonne and Irvington, NJ.

Tammy is 37 years old with black hair & brown eyes; she is 5'5" and approximatley 146 pounds.

If you have any information, please contact Red Bank Police Department at #732-530-2700 or NJSP Missing Persons Unit at #800-709-7090.

Please note I've also posted a picture and some pertinent information about 13 year old Khalif Thorpe in the right sidebar under my profile. Khalif is an asthmatic who has been missing since 7 July 2005; the weather in Philly this summer is most certainly not conducive to great respiratory health, especially since Khalif does not have access to his daily medications. If you have any information about his whereabouts, please contact the Philadelphia police department at 215-686-3013/3014.
