Among the requirements of the 2006 anti-terror law is that a plaque be placed in the department's Emergency Operations Center. Part of the statement on the plaque reads: "The safety and security of the Commonwealth cannot be achieved apart from reliance upon Almighty God."Of course these are the people who voted George Bush to be President most likely because, even as Governor of Texas, he made it abundantly clear that he had no intentions of respecting the US Constitution or the rights of anyone who does.

Yes. The good people of Kentucky elect idiots and mandated by constitutional amendment that only one man and one woman may get married and outlawed any legal status identical or substantially similar to that of marriage for unmarried individuals. As a native Kentuckian I am deeply ashamed of my home state.
Kentucky has lost Supreme Court case after Supreme Court case over posting the 10 Commandments in public school classrooms. The one and only Jewish member of the legislature has been vilified and spat upon. The creation science (sic) museum is in Kentucky. Kentucky proudly voted for McCain and overwhelmingly voted for Bush, twice. Democrats win in Kentucky only when they can out-bigot and out-establish Christianity than Republicans.
It's very depressing.
