NY Baptist Church full of miscreants

The only thing the folks at Watertown, NY's First Baptist church have paid less attention to than the bible is the sin going on in their Sunday school for the past 54 years. In a desperate attempt to bring the flock back on the right side of G-d, the church dismissed Mary Lambert from her position teaching Sunday School because G-d doesn't believe women could possibly know more than a man on any subject

The First Baptist Church dismissed Mary Lambert on August 9 with a letter explaining that the church had adopted an interpretation that prohibits women from teaching men. She had taught there for 54 years.

The letter quoted the first epistle to Timothy: "I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent." [CNN]

No word on whether on how this literal interpretation of a letter to Timothy will impact the ability of females in the congregation carry out the responsibilities of parenting their male children.
