Psalm 74:7 "They burned your sanctuary to the ground; they defiled the dwelling place of your Name."Someone who thinks they're a good, moral Christian committed the egregious sin setting fire to the sanctuary of Saint John's Reformed United Church of Christ in Middlebrook, VA to protest of the denomination's non-binding endorsement of same-sex marriage. To follow up, the arsonist(s) further vandalized the church by leaving a message that the members of UCC were all sinners. Luckily, no one was inside the church or harmed by the fire which was discovered by a congregant who stopped by the church to mow the lawn.
Exodus 22:6 "If a fire breaks out and spreads into thornbushes so that it burns shocks of grain or standing grain or the whole field, the one who started the fire must make restitution."Some other butt-munch, this one in Bloomington, IN, tried to set fire to a Mosque early today as well. This one managed tried to proove that good, old fashioned American bigotry is superior to Islamic Fundamentalism by burning a Quran in what was probably an attempt at retaliation for the attacks in London this week.
