About 10 years ago, the border patrol guard boyfriend (now husband) of a good friend of mine let me in on a well kept secret about illegal aliens in the US: there are a boatload of illegals from Canada. I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain about the plethora of primarily Anglo illegals sneaking in through our northern border despite the fact that, unlike those pesky "wetbacks", the Canadians don't come here to take jobs the average American won't take - they come here for white collar jobs that haven't been outsourced off shore.
Now it may well be that the reason folks like Republicans Jeff Sessions and James Sensenbrenner don't complain about the Canadians is because they go home to visit family whenever they're in need of healthcare, but to hear Ruben Navarette of The San Diego Union-Tribune tell its, it sounds more like the real goal is to protect our language and the complexions of our children.
