Where are in the world are Sarah Palin's "Family Values"?

Par for the course, the Republican Party, in supporting McSame's choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate, is awash in sheer hypocrisy. First, they attack Hillary Clinton's experience as not being real/applicable, then they go after Obama as inexperienced and unready to lead, and now? Now they claim that McCain is brilliant in selecting Sarah Palin to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency. I'm starting to think that referring to her as the new Dan Quayle may actually be an insult to Quayle.

All this aside, what's really getting my goat is the fact that the Republican Party lays claim as THE party of family values. Sarah Palin is a card carrying member of the "G-d's Own Party" and feels strongly it is her duty use the government to force everyone (even those damned to Hell for not being "good Christians" despite how they live) to live in accordance with fundamentalist/orthodox Christian dogma . She is now #2 in THE party of "Family Values" and yet, a mere 3-days after giving birth prematurely to a baby with special needs, she was back at work and, about 5 months later, she's on the grueling election campaign trail trying to become VP.
Many women have told me, and surveys have shown, that they find it easier, more 'professionally' gratifying, and certainly more socially affirming, to work outside the home than to give up their careers to take care of their children. Think about that for a moment…Here, we can thank the influence of radical feminism, one of the core philosophies of the village elders.” Rick Santorum, "It Takes a Family" (p 95)
Now we know which women Little Ricky was talking to.

What kind of Family Values does one have when they are so quick to put their career and political aspirations ahead of taking part in the care of your premature infant and assisting the rest of your family (including 4 other children) in dealing with the special needs that arise in these circumstances? Lest you think this is the rant of a hypocritical woman who supports some working mothers but not all, let it be known that I'd be just as disgusted if it were Palin's husband who didn't take some extra time off after his premie child was born and was thrusting his family into a national election campaign so soon thereafter.

Sarah Palin and her supporters are just another example of the Repubevangelical "do as I say, not as I do (and don't you dare criticize me for my actions because I have G-d's support and you don't)" moral relativistic hypocrisy. Palin is not only too inexperienced for the Vice Presidency she, like her running mate, is completely out of touch.
