Jews for Jesus prove deception is their golden rule

The evangelical missionary movement "Jews for Jesus" have spent over 30 years actively trying to convert Jews to Christianity by telling them that a belief that salvation can only come through Jesus as the messiah is consistent with Judaism. In fact, this is far from true. While Christianity, like Islam, is an off-shoot of Judasim a kosher Christian is still a Christian even when he calls himself a "messianic Jew". The sheer willfullness of this relgious movement continues today to such a degree that comedian Jackie Mason has had to sue the organization for implying he not only condones the movement, but that he may well be a "Jew for Jesus" in a pamphlet they've been using to proseletyze in NYC this Summer. Par for the course, a spokeperson for the Christian group has issued a statement indicating that anyone who has a problem with them lying about their organization to gain converts is out of line
Susan Perlman, a spokeswoman for Jews for Jesus, said the pamphlet was "good-natured."

"Shame on him for getting so upset about this," she said Friday.

Tips for Tits - a happy hour with meaning

The first thing I realized after going to work directly for the great white satan (dba the pharmaceutical industry) was that pharma folks drink like fish. If you doubt this, just check out happy hour at the Boathouse in Malvern any Thursday or Friday and count how many folks admit to working at Sanofi-Aventis or Centocor (both of which are conveniently located within walking distance), or any one of the other local bio/pharma companies in the Philly metro area.

Come to think of it, why not check it out yourself this Thursday and help raise money for the Breast Cancer 3Day. A bunch of nuts known as The Phunny Pharmers will be guest bartending which is just another way to say entertainment will be provided.

NY Baptist Church full of miscreants

The only thing the folks at Watertown, NY's First Baptist church have paid less attention to than the bible is the sin going on in their Sunday school for the past 54 years. In a desperate attempt to bring the flock back on the right side of G-d, the church dismissed Mary Lambert from her position teaching Sunday School because G-d doesn't believe women could possibly know more than a man on any subject
The First Baptist Church dismissed Mary Lambert on August 9 with a letter explaining that the church had adopted an interpretation that prohibits women from teaching men. She had taught there for 54 years.

The letter quoted the first epistle to Timothy: "I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent." [CNN]
No word on whether on how this literal interpretation of a letter to Timothy will impact the ability of females in the congregation carry out the responsibilities of parenting their male children.

This ought to tick people off

My uncle emailed this to me, I don't know where he got it from or who to credit but it seems even more apropos after the whole "fauxtography" controversy. War's bad enough, no reason to make it worse.

Who knew Republicans had so much in common with the Quebecois?

About 10 years ago, the border patrol guard boyfriend (now husband) of a good friend of mine let me in on a well kept secret about illegal aliens in the US: there are a boatload of illegals from Canada. I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain about the plethora of primarily Anglo illegals sneaking in through our northern border despite the fact that, unlike those pesky "wetbacks", the Canadians don't come here to take jobs the average American won't take - they come here for white collar jobs that haven't been outsourced off shore.

Now it may well be that the reason folks like Republicans Jeff Sessions and James Sensenbrenner don't complain about the Canadians is because they go home to visit family whenever they're in need of healthcare, but to hear Ruben Navarette of The San Diego Union-Tribune tell its, it sounds more like the real goal is to protect our language and the complexions of our children.

A drunk mind speaks a sober heart

Mel Gibson's Hebe-hatin' rant seems to be the celebrity gossip equivalent to herpes (aka: the gift that keeps giving). Today, the Australian Herald Sun's own Bryan Patterson chimed in with a cadre of quotes that may lead one to think that Gibson's post exposure apologies have been spoken with a sober mind, but forked tongue.
Interviewed by Reader's Digest a couple of years ago, the actor said he thought the Holocaust had happened, but that the numbers might have been exaggerated.

"I mean, when the war was over they said it was 12 million. Then it was six. Now it's four. I mean, it's that kind of numbers game."

He went on to say his father was very intelligent "and if he says something he has a reason why he says it and he can back it up."
As for those who think Gibson's tirade has no bearing on his blockbuster movie The Passion of the Christ Pogrom, claiming there was no reason to be concerned the film was intended to vilify those Saviour Spurning Christ-Killers, Patterson revives this sweet sentiment
In an interview when The Passion of The Christ was released, he was reported as saying: "My dad taught me my faith, and I believe what he taught me. The man never lied to me in his life." Gibson was asked about his decision to cut the scene in the Passion where the Jewish leader, Caiaphas, says "his blood be on us and on our children".

This was soon after Pontius Pilate washed his hands of Jesus.

Gibson said: "I wanted it in . . . but, man, if I included that in there, they'd be coming after me at my house. They'd come to kill me."
No, Meldoesn't hate Jews, he just doesn't really approve of them - especially when they have the audicity to disagree with (or arrest) him.

Meanwhile, back in Gawker-Land, it appears as though there may be some concern that a few too many Jews have graduated from Law School for the comfort of the Melibu DA office.

Tomorrow is Missing Monday: Please help those who help find the missing

Just to be sure I didn't forget to make my Missing Monday post (like I did last month), I figured I'd prep and post in advance. As I started to look for a case for this month, I found out that the National Center for Missing Adults (NCMA) is in danger of losing funding because the HR 2103 is languishing in subcommittee. HR 2103 authorizes the Attorney General to provide grants for organizations that help locate missing adults. If this bill is not signed into law the NCMA stands to lose $4 M in funding they receive on an annual basis - this is no small chunk of change for an organization that played a key role to help locate missing victims of Hurricane Katrina (almost a year later, the DOJ hasn't yet reimbursed them the $200,000 they promised for the owrk they did) as well as helping families of other missing adults.

Kelly Jowlkowski of Project Jason has posted her letter to the President requesting support and action on this bill. Please contact your respresentatives to request they do their part to ensure the government finally takes positive action on this bill.

For more information, please check out Kym's Blog

What lead to Gibson's Melodramatic Anti-Jew Smackdown

Since the reports of Mel Gibson's bizarre anti-yid diatribe while being arrested, we've been getting the "Mel's no anti-semite he was just a drunk who didn't mean what he said" song and dance from Gibson and his supporters, but one thing we haven't heard is what lead the ornery actor to his verbal attack against an entire religion. It just seems strange for any non-delusional human being (even a proud self-avowed Jew hater) to launch into a rant against Jews as the cause for all that ails the world in the midst of a routine drunk driving arrest in Malibu. Understanding that successful, multi-millionaire celbrities do have a bit of a G-d complex, I just don't think Gibson qualifies for a diagnosis like paranoid schizophernia that could explain away Gibson's shift from his drunken "how dare you arrest me I am a celebridiety" hissy-fit into asking the arresting officer if he was a Jew and then launching into his now infamous Jews are evil tirade and merely being drunk off his ass doesn't explain it either (unless he now wants to claim his wagon tipping inebriation was caused by Jewish gang members attacking him and forcing copious amounts of alcohol down his throat). An interesting opinion piece by Ray Hanania, in addition to all the reports of Gibson's very close relationship with the Malibu PD, actually helps explain how Gibson's tirade evolve
At first, Gibson started screaming that his life would be ruined. Imagine, a Hollywood actor caught drunk. When Mee would not let him off, and handcuffed him, Gibson launched into a tirade about his clout, his friends, and his power.

For some strange reason, it wasn’t until all of that failed that, according to reports on his comments, that Gibson launched into the anti-Semitism. TMZ.com claims that Mee was forced to rewrite his detailed original 8-page detective novel that he turned in after bringing Gibson to the jail. Sources there said Mee was forced to eliminate all the Jew-hating comments.

My question is how did Gibson know Mee was Jewish? Or, if he didn’t say what he reportedly said because Mee was Jewish, how did he jump from “a ruined life” to “the Jews start all the wars in the world”? [Y Net]
The arresting officer's name is James Mee, mopst definitely not a "Jewish sounding" name at all. I've seen pictures of Mee and he doesn't "look Jewish" and there are no reports that the officer had payess or was wearing a yarmulke, talit or big bright yellow star emblazoned with the word Jude, so what would make Gibson even think to ask if the guy was Jewish and then blame the Jews for all thw wars in the world (you know, like the Crusades which was all about forcing Judaism down everyone's throat)?

Let's be honest, when I heard Gibson actually asked Mee if he was Jewish I damn near peed my pants; needless to say, I was shocked to hear Mee is Jewish.
My guess is that, from his close relationship with the local police department (this is the man who announced that all of his friends were cops and intimated such a cozy relationship with Malibu PD that officers frequently just drop by for a cuppa joe), Gibson probably knew there was at least one Jewish officer on the Malibu PD. I think it's safe to surmise that Mee was not one of Gibson's cop buddies and since Mee was, in Gibson's opinion, being a total A-hole by not being star-struck and then insisting on booking the actor for his DUI, the arresting officer must have been "the Jew". Stars like Gibson don't particularly like it when mere mortals don't respect the fact that the laws of the common man don't apply to the rich and famous. In this case, it was the suspected Jew who insisted on treating Gibson as if he were any other drunk on the road. When the offended offender just so happens to be a star who has publicly stated his religion/religious faith, the same one that lead him to make "The Passion of the Christ" (and lead many Jews to fear the resurgence of passion play induced pogroms) is the same religion that cured him of his spiritual bankruptcy, of which his alcoholism was a symptom, it really is no suprise that Gibson was angry enough to blame the Jews for all the world's problems simply because he thought the person who wouldn't help him hide his descent into sin was one of "those" people.

Gibson is an actor, one who is quite amiable and pleasant when in full control of the facade that is available to the public. When he loses his ability to control himself, he seems much more like his father than is safe for someone whose continued financial growth is dependent on his likability factor. Gibson won't suffer any long term effects from momentarily showing his true face; one has to wonder if the continuous need to maintain his public facade is the real reason he keeps falling of his high horse wagon.

Suri Cruise - a modern day Raymond Shaw

Look, I've got to admit that I don't really give a fiddler's fart about the Tomkitten, but I must say the only thing I find odder than the issues surrounding Suri Cruise's birth (or, more accurately, her birth certificate) is the circus around the announcements about Suri sightings.

First, B-list thetan fighter Leah Remini made a public announcement about her own personal experiences with the infant, stating that Tom and Katie are "just great parents" because, it seems, the parents held her every second that Remini did not and that the child is "just beautiful". Shortly thereafter, Jada Pinkett Smith made sure we all knew that TomKat had allowed at least a couple of non-Scientologists to see his spawn and she also felt the need to proclaim the child's "absolute beauty". Now the last Catholic Tommy couldn't convert to his church has proclaimed Cruise and Holmes' daughter as "one of the most beautiful babies" she's ever seen. While, granted, there's not much interesting one can really say about an infant, but this has gotten to such scripted point that I'm starting to wonder how many more Hollywood stars are having recurrent dreams about attending weird little tea parties. . .

Synagogue to help Gibson understand why he doesn't like us

The Mel Gibson "I don't really hate Jews, but I do hold them responsible for everything that ails the world" brouhahaha has actually managed to become increasingly bizarre over the day. Mad Max now admits he made the nasty comments attributed to him after being pulled over for a DUI last week and is so wracked with psychic pain, he's asked for the Jewish community to help him recover from whatever it is that makes him not like the non-Gentile community so much
"I am in the process of understanding where those vicious words came from during that drunken display, and I am asking the Jewish community, whom I have personally offended, to help me on my journey through recovery," the statement continued.

"Again, I am reaching out to the Jewish community for its help. I know there will be many in that community who will want nothing to do with me, and that would be understandable. But I pray that that door is not forever closed."" [CNN]
According to TMZ.com (run by yet another one of those trouble-making Yids), Herr Gibson has been offered a chance to be a keynote speaker at High Holy Day services on Yom Kippur at the Temple of the Arts. Should Mel really want to gain a better understanding of himself and what's eating at him, maybe he should spend some time focusing on the life of his saviour and the religion to which Jesus subscribed instead of the pre-destined death necessary to spawn Christianity, and learn from (?acknowledge?) all the politics and bullshit mankind has used to attack, torture and murder others in the name of G-d and religion.

I fully expect to hear Gibson is spending the month leading up to the Jewish High Holy Days reciting Selichot before awing us with what I'm sure will be a very public (and fear will be a disengenuous) act of contrition.
